Officially Ubisoft wins its war against Vivendi and acquires its complete stake, here are the details…

After two years of suffering from Ubisoft’s side, facing Vivendi’s attempts to take over the French company by acquiring a significant stake in Ubisoft’s shares, the tug-of-war between the two parties continued. Vivendi kept trying to advance and intrude in Ubisoft’s territory with the aim of bothering them.

Why not become the owner of the company, but this nightmare ended today officially, as expected for some time by Mr. Richard-Maxime Beaudoux in September of last year. He works through the Challenges website where he confirmed at that time that if the Vivendi team did not acquire more shares over the next period, they would be required to sell their stake in the company to the parent company. This is indeed what happened today.

Ubisoft announced that it had retrieved all the shares, which amounted to 27.3% of the total company, and the total value of 66 euros per share was paid. Ubisoft is now free and has absolute commercial freedom.

Undoubtedly, this news will delight all fans of the company’s games as it will continue to be present in the future through the video game industry, which is ultimately what we all want. Mr. Yves Guillemot, the CEO of Ubisoft, confirmed in his first reactions that he is grateful for the support of all the fans, which was their goal since the attempt to reclaim all these shares from Vivendi.

And freeing Ubisoft from the grip that would have controlled it and intervened in all the company’s decisions. Of course, the nightmare has ended for Ubisoft, and now the goal is to focus efforts more on working to refine and develop more games in the future. Best regards.
