Get iPhone X gestures on your Android phone easily

With the release of Apple’s flagship phone, the iPhone X last year, users of their phones still need to spend some time getting used to this new phone, as there is the new full screen, the removal of the home button, and replacing this button with gestures or more amazing swipes. For example, you can scroll from the middle of the screen to the bottom without lifting your finger to show recent apps. Of course, there are other gestures that save time and effort for users of this phone.

On the other hand, thanks to app developers, users of the Android system can experience most of these gestures on their Android phones without any noticeable issues. Since the phone is new, the number of apps is small, and some are not very useful. In this article, we have chosen two applications that have a great benefit for a large group of Android users. As we mentioned earlier, they will be able to experience iPhone X gestures on their Android smartphones. Without further ado, let’s start with the first app:

1. Gesture Control – Next level navigation:

The application is lightweight and most importantly, it supports Android 4.1 and later, so most Android devices will work with it without any problems. It offers you a variety of gestures that closely resemble those on the iPhone X, which you can use to navigate to the home screen, go back, open recent apps, or even open notifications and quick settings. The app includes the following default gestures:

  • Quick scroll up: go to the home page.
  • Scrolling left: back screen.
  • Scroll right: go to notifications.
  • Continuous scrolling up: open recent apps.
  • Scroll left continuously: split screen.
  • Quick scroll to the right with long press: go to quick Android settings.
  • Quickly scroll from the middle of the screen: you can customize as you like.

There are more gestures supported by the application, but here you need to purchase the full version of the app, such as double-clicking and using physical phone buttons for other purposes. Importantly, if your phone really has root privileges, you will benefit from the app fully, as it enhances its performance incredibly.

2. All In One Gestures:

This application works with phones running Android 4.4 and later, and of course, it has some iPhone X-like phone gestures, but it is not limited to touch screens only. It also relies mainly on physical phone buttons unlike the previous application. I would like to point out that the app’s work method is not simple but not complicated either. With time, you’ll get used to it.

In general, the app gives you three categories of gestures, and you can customize the actual device keys to open the app, shortcuts, and navigate to different screens. For example, you can set the volume button to open the music player when long-pressed. The app also offers many gestures that work along the edges and corners of the screen. You can configure each gesture, such as opening apps and navigating. You can add 12 hot and scrollable points by pressing the menu button thrice in the top right of the main app interface, as seen in the image below.

Under the status tab, you can add gestures to this bar, also known as the notification bar or navigation bar. For example, you can open apps by double-tapping the status bar or show notifications. Lastly, another thing the app provides is the ability to disable specific gestures without killing all the features. Additionally, the app is available for free download but contains ads. To get rid of them, you need to purchase the full version inside the app. One last point is that some gestures require your phone to have root privileges.
