Dreams Game Development Studio Considering Allowing Players to Earn Financial Profits from Their Games, with One Major Hurdle…

The Dreams game undoubtedly sparks a lot of discussion as it offers players an experience of a fantasy world where they can design whatever comes to mind using tools provided by the team, which took several years to develop. Although the game is still in the early access phase, the team has managed to present the idea in the desired way, evident through various applications and ideas provided by players on the PlayStation 4 platform.

Through several previous examples, I have touched on several projects that have been created by users. However, what if players could earn financial profits by selling these games, especially since many of the creations are indeed comprehensive and offer a unique experience? This could be a great addition to the PlayStation Store if Sony decides to work on these projects to provide more content on the store.

This was addressed by Mr. Abbie Heppe, the media communications lead at Media Molecule, who, in an interview with VentureBeat, confirmed that the team is indeed planning this and aims to expand the player base even further.

By also providing trophies for these games and potentially turning the game into a source of income for many users through a system similar to mods that were popular years ago, where players could have a store containing only high-quality creations at a nominal price that goes directly to the game designer.

This would enable the game to attract a wider audience and encourage many developers to contribute, leading to the creation of highly anticipated projects and amazing ideas. Of course, these are just plans by the team and wishes, but the reality remains challenging as Sony would need to implement a complex system if they decide to rely on these contents. Best regards.
