Effective ways to solve the problem of unstable Wi-Fi connection and slow internet.

While the world is now racing towards 5G networks, millions of users around the globe are still facing significant internet weakness. Although there are many reasons for this, the most important one is the instability of the Wi-Fi network, which can be due to interference with other networks or electronic devices emitting wireless signals. Fortunately, there are very easy ways to overcome this problem. Here we highlight the main reasons for Wi-Fi network fluctuations and interruptions, as well as how to completely eliminate this problem.

Why Does Wi-Fi Instability Occur?

There are many reasons that can lead to constant slowdown or interruption of the Wi-Fi network, but the most important one is interference with other networks in the same area, especially in places with many networks. Think of this like old radios and speakers that used to emit strange sounds when phone calls were made nearby and sometimes radio channels interfered with each other. This also applies to routers because when two devices connect to the same channel, significant internet fluctuation can occur.
The 2.4 GHz frequency is the most popular frequency for routers as it provides a wide range, but it is very crowded and has fewer channels than other frequencies, so it will suffer greatly from congestion. Fortunately, you can solve this problem very easily by changing the Wi-Fi channel through the router settings.

How to Solve Wi-Fi Instability Issue

To solve the Wi-Fi instability issue, you will need to check the channel your network is operating on to see if it is congested or not. Then you can change the channel settings through your router’s page. So, first, you need to use a program to analyze the Wi-Fi network, and one of the best programs for this is Wi-Fi Analyzer for Windows, which you can download from the Microsoft Store, and also the Wifi Analyzer app for Android, which is available on Google Play.
Download the app, install it on your device, then log in to analyze your Wi-Fi network. You will need to connect to the Wi-Fi network first to get accurate results. On the main interface of the program, click on the “Analyze” option at the top of the program.
Now the program will start analyzing the Wi-Fi networks in the area to determine busy and unoccupied channels. As shown in the following image, you can see that the fourth channel is not busy at all, and the sixth and seventh channels are not congested. You should change your Wi-Fi network channel to one of these channels.
Changing the channel is very easy, as you can do it by entering the router settings and searching for the Wi-Fi or wireless network settings, where you can change your network channel. In this explanation, we will use a WE router, and to access the settings, enter (192.168.1.1) in the address bar of your internet browser.
Now you need to log in on the router settings page, where the username is usually admin but the password varies from device to device. You can find this information on the panel located on the back of the router.
After logging into the settings, choose the Local Network or a similar setting, then select WLAN Global Configuration where you can change the channel settings as shown in the image below.
Make sure to choose an unoccupied channel to solve the Wi-Fi instability problem and improve speed, or you can choose Auto to let the router automatically select the best channel.
