Easily Delete Apps and Their Data on Android
Android system is considered one of the most powerful phone operating systems today, as we notice a huge number of users who own devices running on this system. What distinguishes this system from others is its simplicity and extensive support for unique applications and continuous updates, in addition to being fully supported by Google, which is a sufficient reason to make it a distinctive system. It’s worth noting that there are a huge number of applications added to the Google app store on a daily basis, which means that if you are someone who enjoys trying out new apps regularly like me, you will eventually find that your phone has many unused apps and the memory is filled with data that is not useful or important. This simply means that you need to delete apps that you don’t use to increase free space on your phone. After deleting these apps, you may notice that there is still a considerable amount of memory occupied by the data of the deleted apps, which is wasted space. Therefore, we will discuss in this topic a simple idea that can be used to get rid of the data of deleted apps without the need for any memory cleaning apps or others.
As mentioned at the beginning of the topic, we will not use any apps in this explanation and will rely on the tools provided by the system related to apps in the basic settings of the system. Here’s how you can do it simply:
Delete apps and their data on Android easily without any applications:
1- First, go to the settings of the Android system as shown in the following image:
2- Go to the applications options as shown in the following image:
3- Choose the app you want to delete and press on it as shown in the following image:
4- Scroll down in the options for this app and press on Clear Data to delete all the data of this app from your phone’s memory. You will notice a significant decrease in the app’s total size after completing this deletion process, as shown in the following image:
5- Now, simply uninstall the app by clicking on Uninstall, as you would do for any other app, as shown in the following image:
It’s important to emphasize that the order of operations is crucial in this method. If you delete the app, you won’t be able to access its settings to delete the data afterward, and you will either have to manually search for its data or use a specific app to do so.
The method is very simple but effective in freeing your device from unnecessary files related to deleted apps. If you feel that your phone is full of unnecessary files and its memory is full even though you don’t store many files on it, you can transfer all your desired files to your computer, for example, and then delete the memory. Be cautious that some apps will stop working, such as those that have their data in them. As for me, I transfer my files to my computer from time to time and create backups of my important data, then reset to factory settings, delete all the data on the phone, reinstall the apps, and transfer the data back to the phone. What about you, dear reader, what method do you use to get rid of remnants of apps and unnecessary files in memory?
