It’s almost time to return to the world of Thedas, but we still have some time before we can get our hands on Dragon Age: The Veilguard. This game has been in the works for years, undergoing many changes, but it has finally arrived in time for Halloween. We are all excited to create our own character and dive back into the story with new and familiar faces. If you’ve been waiting all this time, every second counts, and the last thing you want is to sit at your computer or console waiting for the game to download. We want to help you immerse yourself into the fantastic world by informing you of all the pre-download details you need for Dragon Age: The Veilguard.
Dragon Age: The Veilguard Release Date
Dragon Age: The Veilguard will be released at 9 AM Pacific / 12 PM Eastern on October 31. Refer to the map above to find out your specific time zone.
Dragon Age: The Veilguard File Size
The only store interface that has listed the file size so far is Steam, indicating that players will need at least 100 GB of storage space. We imagine console players will need slightly less, but we aim to have this figure at least for all major systems to be safe.
Dragon Age: The Veilguard Pre-Download Options
Dragon Age: The Veilguard will have different pre-download options depending on your platform. As long as you have pre-ordered the game, you are eligible for pre-downloading.
Xbox players can start pre-downloading at 9 AM Pacific on October 14.
PlayStation players can start pre-downloading at 9 AM Pacific on October 29.
Unfortunately, PC players will not be able to pre-download the game because it will not have any digital rights management.
Dragon Age: The Veilguard Pre-Order Details
If you haven’t pre-ordered Dragon Age: The Veilguard yet and still want to, it is now available on the official website. In addition to the standard edition which includes the game only, you can also get the Deluxe Edition for $90 ($80 on PC) with the following extra items:
- Rook cosmetic armor sets
- Companion cosmetic armor sets
- 6 cosmetic weapon skins for the player character
- 7 cosmetic weapon skins for the companions
