Dragon Age: The Veilguard is not among the top 60 best-selling games on Steam

Most recent BioWare projects have suffered from critical and commercial failure, whether it’s Mass Effect Andromeda or Anthem. While Dragon Age The Veilguard looks promising, it might face a similar failure due to weak pre-launch sales.

It has been almost two weeks since the game’s release, and it is still not present in the top 50 best-selling games on Steam. The game currently occupies the 61st position on the list, which is highly disappointing given the surrounding buzz.

The game may not make it to the top ten at this stage, as many other games like Elden Ring, Black Myth: Wukong, Baldur’s Gate 3, and Final Fantasy 14 rank higher on the list.

To gauge the lack of interest in the project from players, the game was not present anywhere for a month, not even within the top 180 best-selling games. It also ranks 28th among the most anticipated games on Steam, which is not ideal for a game set to release in just two weeks.

Game reviews have been highly positive, with one media outlet even calling it the game of the year. However, public reception of the game has not been favorable, with some claiming it has become one of the “Woke” titles.

We previously learned that pre-orders for the game were “extremely weak,” and it is noted that Dragon Age The Veilguard will be released on October 31 for Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and PC.
