If you own an Android or iPhone, Truecaller has become essential on your phone as it helps you efficiently block unwanted and spam calls. One of the key features of Truecaller is the Live Caller ID, which has been available for Android users for years. However, for iPhone users, this feature was not available. You had to manually search for unknown numbers every time you received a call. But today, showing the caller’s name through Truecaller is now available directly on the iPhone, and we will showcase and test it with you today.
Firstly, you need to have the latest iOS version 16 from Apple. You also need to update your Truecaller app to version 12.36 through the official Apple store. Additionally, you will need to subscribe to the paid version of the app. However, do not worry as the cost is very affordable. In Egypt, the monthly subscription cost is 20 EGP (less than 1 USD), and the annual subscription is 150 EGP (5 USD). The costs may vary by country, but they remain very reasonable. Since a monthly subscription is available, you can subscribe for a trial period of one month. The app also offers a three-day free trial.

After ensuring that your iPhone meets the three mentioned criteria, open the Truecaller app and go to the Premium tab where the features of the paid version are displayed, including the Live Caller ID feature. Then, click on “Add to Siri” below Live Caller ID, then click on “Add Shortcut” in the window that opens. The app will ask for permission, so click on “Allow” to activate the feature.
Now, when you receive a call from an unknown number, simply speak to Siri during the call and ask her to search through Truecaller by saying “Hey Siri, Search Truecaller“. The caller’s name will be displayed directly from the Truecaller app. In my experience, I did not need to speak to Siri, and the name was shown directly.
