Discover what’s new in version 73 of the Firefox browser
Mozilla officially released version 73 of the popular web browser Firefox for various computer systems this week. Similar to the previous version, this release did not see significant changes to the user interface. Instead, it focused on fixing some bugs and vulnerabilities that might affect performance and browsing, as well as introducing some new simple features. In this article, we will highlight the most notable new features and how to use them.
To get the new version, current Firefox users can go to the main menu, then “Help,” and then “About Firefox.” The browser will update automatically to the latest version. If you are not currently using the browser, you can download the latest version from this link.

Unified Zooming
Previously highlighted during the beta release, this feature allows for setting a unified zoom percentage for all websites and browser windows. This is a great feature for those with visual impairments, as it eliminates the need to adjust zoom levels for each site individually.
You can control the zoom percentage by going to the main menu, then “Options,” then under the “General” section of the sidebar menu and in the “Appearance” section, you can adjust the “Default Zoom” option. Once set, this percentage will apply to all sites and browser menus until you change it again. You can also select “Zoom text only” to focus on text more.

Contrast Mode Improvement
In Firefox version 73, browsing in “High contrast” mode has been significantly improved by enhancing navigation elements for easier reading of text and web page elements, especially when reading articles. For those unfamiliar, Windows provides a feature called “High contrast” that reduces the number of colors used in the interface to increase contrast for users with visual impairments, making text easier to read and the system clearer to use.
You can activate this mode by going to settings, then “Personalization,” then “Themes” from the sidebar menu, and clicking on “High Contrast Settings,” then turning it on. Immediately, you will notice a significant color change, increasing the contrast and making most of the interface black with significantly lighter text.
