Director of GTA 6 is the same as the director of Red Dead Redemption 2

GTA 6 has been in development for many years, and Rockstar has undergone several changes since the last release of Grand Theft Auto. Some prominent names have been lost, leading to concerns about GTA 6 as a result. Fortunately, former Rockstar developer Obbe Vermeij has good news, stating that about 80% of the team that worked on GTA 4 is still part of Rockstar North.

Recently, a fan asked Obbe Vermeij to name some of the veteran team members who are still part of the team, and he estimated that most of the old talent is still involved in the latest release of Grand Theft Auto.

This includes individuals like Aaron Garbut, the art director who has been with the series since GTA 3, as well as Sam Houser, one of the original studio founders, leading GTA 6. At the same time, the game is directed by Rob Nelson, the developer who directed the fantastic game Red Dead Redemption 2. To clarify, the same team was previously at the forefront in developing iconic titles in its class such as Max Payne 3, Red Dead Redemption, and more.

With these names and the strong first promotional announcement revealed last year, fans have no need to worry. While figures like Leslie Benzies, Dan Houser, and Michael Unsworth are no longer at the studio, there are still plenty of experienced talents involved in the ownership of the Grand Theft Auto intellectual property.
