Detailed guide to running Google Assistant on Windows 10 and any operating system

Google Assistant is one of the best programs that can serve you and execute many commands for you when you say “Hey Google” and then ask it to do many things like opening a specific website or activating a specific option or reading web pages out loud or setting an alarm, and much more. But you cannot activate it on Windows officially, but we will know in this post how to do it, but it’s a bit long and has many steps.

Step One:

From the Action Console page on Google, click on the New Project tab and agree to the terms of use, then write the project name and click on Create Project.

Scroll down and next to “Are you looking for device registration?”, click on Click here.

Click on Register Model and fill in the fields as you want, then click on Registration Model.

Then click on Download OAuth 2.0 credentials. Download the project credential data, then click Next and Save.

Step Two:

Go to the Google Cloud Platform page and agree to the terms of use, then click on Select Project from the arrow and select the project you created, then click Open.

Click on APIs & Services and enable it from Enable API and Services.

Search for Google Assistant in the APL Library, then click on the service and click Enable.

Go to the credentials section and click on CONFIGURE CONSENT SCREEN to be taken to the OAuth Consent Screen page, activate the External option, then click Create.

In the App Registration page, enter your email address and developer mail, then click on SAVE AND CONTINUE until you press BACK TO DASHBOARD.

Under Test Users, click on ADD USERS and enter the email addresses you want to use for authentication, separated by commas, then click Save.

Step Three:

Download the Google Assistant Unofficial Client file for Windows, install the program, and to run the program, click on Windows + Shift + A keys.

Click on Get Started twice, then the gear icon to open this window.

Click on Browse in front of Key File Path and search for the OAuth 2.0 Credentials file that you downloaded earlier, click on Save, then Automatically Set a path, then Relaunch Assistant.

A page with your email will open to get your authentication code.

Put the code in the Google Assistant application, then click Submit.

This way, the assistant is successfully installed, and you can use it as on your phone.
