Delete All or Some Restore Points in Windows

We received an important question in a comment on our Facebook page about how to delete specific system restore points and not all of them. This question is crucial because there is an option available to delete all stored system restore points, but there is no option to delete a single point or multiple points individually. Sometimes you create a system restore point today and then delete another point tomorrow, so there is no need to occupy your device with old points. In such cases, you need to delete them, which can become a problem if you have multiple points and do not want to delete all of them but only specific ones. Don’t worry, as in this article, we will explain how you can easily do this in the following paragraphs.

In the previous article, we explained the System Restore feature, which allows you to restore your device to a previous point in time. It is a useful feature, but it is best to delete points that you do not use and are not important to you to avoid taking up space on your device unnecessarily. The following paragraphs will explain the method.

Deleting all system restore points

If you want to delete all system restore points, you can easily do so by right-clicking on Computer, then selecting Properties, then System protection, then Protection Settings, then Configure, then Delete, then OK. This will delete all system restore points easily. If you want to delete specific points or certain points from system restore, you need to follow the method below.

Deleting specific system restore points using CCleaner

You can delete specific system restore points using the great and distinctive CCleaner program. After downloading and running the program, click on Tools, then System Restore, select the points you want to delete, and then click on Remove.

System Restore is a great feature in the Windows operating system, but having many points may occupy a large disk space. Therefore, it is best to delete points that are not valuable to you to free up additional space. I hope this article is helpful and the explanation is clear.
