Campaign to Demand Arabic Localization for Silent Hill 2 Remake after its Page Update on Steam
Recently, details about the highly anticipated horror and survival game Silent Hill 2 Remake were widely discussed, based on media reports and statements from various sources regarding the game’s content and the development process.
The development team at Bloober Team studio shared their goals for the game and the sales targets they aim to achieve. This got players excited about the future of the game, with many followers considering it as a hint from the developers that news about the game is coming soon.
This excitement reached its peak this morning when the game page on Steam for PC was updated. It confirmed that the game will be available exclusively for PlayStation 5 and PC. The update revealed new details, including a projected release date that is very close.
It was also revealed that the game will not support Arabic language, which disappointed many players in the Middle East and North Africa region. This lack of Arabic support is seen as a significant loss and a disappointing step considering the trend of Arabic language support in most games.
Given the importance of Arabic localization in modern games, some players on Twitter have initiated a wide-scale campaign targeting representatives of Konami’s local division in the United Arab Emirates.

The game heavily relies on cinematic dialogues and reading notes to understand the story, aside from the challenging puzzles it offers. If it doesn’t support Arabic, many players might not purchase it and opt to watch playthroughs on YouTube instead. A major title like Silent Hill should support more than one language

We have also reached out to the development team through their official accounts but have not received any response regarding our inquiries about Arabic localization for Silent Hill 2 Remake.
We hope everyone joins this initiative to convey the voice of Arab players who wish to see Arabic language support for the first time in a main installment of the Silent Hill game series.
