Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 was recently released, breaking the record of Modern Warfare 3 with over 230,000 simultaneous players on Steam.
As seen in the image below, the game has reached nearly 250,000 players, with the current number of players at 218,310 at the time of writing this report. While it is expected to grow during the weekend, it may not increase significantly from the current number.
Many believe that Game Pass service will negatively impact sales of the game on Steam, but it doesn’t seem to be true. However, it may still attract a large number of new subscribers to Game Pass as players may try it out for the first time due to this golden opportunity.
While critics’ opinions are still pending, the response to the campaign is extremely positive, so players are likely to have a better experience with this campaign compared to what happened with MW3.
