Be the First to Try This New App to Locate Any Phone and the Places it Visits with Just a Short SMS, No Internet Needed.
This is not the first time we recommend a simple way to find an Android phone’s location if it is lost, or if you want to monitor someone’s movements. Well, this time, we have another recommendation that allows you to locate a smartphone running Android by simply sending an SMS.
To achieve this task, we need to install a free app available on the Google Play store known as Location SMS, which will send you the phone’s location to whatever extent you request through a text message you send.
It is important to mention that Location SMS is not an app designed to spy on users, but to help people find a lost smartphone, or know the location of elderly or children who use their phones, and thus pay attention to them.
As we mentioned, the first thing we need to do is install the app from the Google Play store, this should be done on the phone we want to always locate, not on both phones, because you will only receive the SMS with the phone’s location when sending the message to the phone on which the app is installed.
Once the app is launched, we will be asked to select the contacts that can request our geographical location, so for example, you choose yourself on the other phone you own and on which you will receive the geographical location of the phone with the app installed.
To find the device’s location, it will be necessary to send an SMS with the words “Where are you?” along with the verification code provided in the app, this code can be edited directly in the settings so you can easily remember it.
Once the SMS is sent, you will receive a response from the Location SMS app.
Location SMS has some interesting features, such as the ability to define a geographical area so that the app sends us a text message stating that the person being monitored has left the specified area, for example, so we can know if the child has left school, or if any of our elderly relatives or parents are leaving the area they usually go to.
