Astro Bot’s first Fast Travel level will be reduced tomorrow for free, with more to come in the future.

Astro Bot developers Team Asobi revealed more information about the new speed levels on Wednesday, including that the first of these new challenges will be dropped on Thursday.

Studio manager of Team Asobi, Nicolas Doucet, announced that the first level of the fast race is called “Building Speed”. A new version will be released every week at 6 AM Pacific time. Here is the full schedule:

  • October 17: Building Speed
  • October 24: Let it slide
  • October 31: Loaded Spring
  • November 7: Helium Heights
  • November 14: Heat Riser

Details were only revealed in the game Building Speed, where players will fly and crash through the city with the help of Barkster, a bulldog that gives you the ability to dash and crash. You will run on walls, navigate through boxes, and deal with floating cranes to get the highest score.

These challenges aim to test your platforming skills. The accompanying online leaderboard will let you know how you stack up against other players.

“We have read a lot of great reviews and received a lot of positive feedback, which has been amazing. However, if there is one loud and clear comment, it is that you want more. So, instead of just planting our little mechanical feet in place right now, we’ve been busy going far, and we have some new surprises ready for you,” Doucet wrote in the announcement.

Asobi team previously announced that the update will also include 10 new pictures. The developers have packed the game with hidden PlayStation character robots, some of which were real deep cuts. They not only mentioned the characters coming to the game with the update, but a previous teaser announcement revealed two characters: Eve from StarShade and Hell Diver from Hell Divers 2.

They will not all be added at once. Two will appear in each new level of the speed levels. It is unclear whether Hell Diver and Eve will be available with Building Speed, so you will have to play to find out.
