Apple Records an Increase in iPhone 16 Sales in China Amid Strong Competition
Apple has seen a significant increase of 20% in iPhone 16 sales in the Chinese market, surpassing the numbers recorded by iPhone 15 sales in 2023. These numbers come less than a month after its launch, according to a recent report from Counterpoint Research.
This rapid growth indicates that Apple is regaining strength in the world’s largest smartphone market, where it faced many challenges in recent years. Much of the credit goes to the iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max models, which have achieved notable success, with a 44% increase in sales compared to previous versions.
Analyst Ivan Lam believes that these positive results are due to Apple’s pricing stability strategy, increased production efficiency, and strong demand from current users. However, this early success comes at a time when the Chinese market is experiencing fierce competition, especially with the launch of new devices by local competitors like Huawei’s Mate 60, which gained great fame.
Despite this achievement, Apple faces major challenges in the Chinese market, where it must maintain its sales momentum amidst strong competition from companies like Huawei, Xiaomi, and Oppo.
Huawei drew widespread attention with the launch of its folding phone Mate XT, which received over 2.9 million pre-orders. Vivo also released the X200 series, and both Xiaomi and Oppo are preparing to launch new phones in the coming months, increasing the challenges Apple faces in the market.
