Apple prepares to launch a cheaper version of Vision Pro glasses next year.

Apple is planning to release a new version of its mixed reality glasses, Vision Pro, at a lower price compared to the first version launched earlier this year. According to a new report from Bloomberg, the price of the new release may reach around $2,000, making it more affordable to the public compared to the current version priced at $3,500.

Apple aims to lower the price by using less costly materials and offering a less powerful processor than the first version, in addition to abandoning some features like EyeSight, which exposes the user’s eyes to the outside world.

It is expected that Apple will launch this new version soon within the coming year, in a move to strengthen its presence in the smart glasses market. The company also plans to launch the second generation of Vision Pro glasses in 2026, amidst expectations that the market will see new products like Ray-Ban-like glasses from Meta, and AirPods with cameras by 2027.

Although Vision Pro glasses have not yet made a drastic impact in the technology market, Apple continues to advance in developing technologies that merge digital reality with the real world. The Vision Pro glasses announced by the company last year entered global markets starting with the United States, then expanded to include the United Kingdom, China, and several European and Asian countries.

Furthermore, forecasts suggest that Apple is also focusing on the smart home devices market in the upcoming years, as it aims to expand its product range to include this sector.
