Apple is preparing to unveil a new lineup of Mac computers.
Apple is set to unveil a new range of Mac computers in the coming days, as announced by the company’s Vice President of Global Marketing, Greg Joswiak, in a post on the X platform.
Joswiak urged the company’s customers to expect new Mac computers during a week full of announcements starting on Monday, accompanied by a short teaser video featuring the Mac logo.
While Apple has not revealed additional details, rumors circulating over the past months suggest that the company plans to release new MacBook Pro devices, as well as a new version of the Mac Mini with a different design, and a 24-inch iMac.
The new Mac computers are expected to come equipped with improved M4 processors, representing a significant upgrade in the internal specifications of these devices, with enhancements in performance, advanced graphics support, artificial intelligence, and power consumption.
The new design of the Mac Mini will be closer in size to the Apple TV, meaning it will be smaller compared to previous versions, with a greater reliance on USB-C and Thunderbolt ports, allowing for more space savings and possibly reducing the number of other ports.
It is worth mentioning that earlier this year, Apple introduced iPad Pro devices with M4 processors, marking the first time that iPads have featured modern processors from the M series before Mac devices.
It is also expected that the new Mac computers will include some enhanced versions of the M4 processors such as M4 Pro and M4 Max, which contain a greater number of cores in the central processing unit and graphics processing unit, enhancing performance even further.
In conjunction with the announcement of the new Mac devices, Apple is likely to introduce the first batch of artificial intelligence features for its supported devices, through sub-updates to the operating systems on iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 16, as well as iPads and Mac computers powered by M series processors.
