Annoying Issues You May Encounter on Your Samsung Phone after Updating to One UI 6.1

We revealed two days ago that Samsung has started rolling out its latest version of its custom skin for the Android system, One UI 6.1, on previous models, specifically on devices from the Galaxy S23, S23 FE, Z Fold5, Z Flip5, Tab S9 (5G), and Tab S9 (Wi-Fi) families.

Okay, a recent report from 9to5Google reveals that users of these phones are facing a series of issues after updating to One UI 6.1.

Some users of Galaxy S23, Galaxy Z Fold5, and Galaxy Z Flip5 phones have recently reported on the Samsung Community forums that after updating to One UI 6.1, their devices are experiencing up to a 40% decrease in charging speed.

As a result, these users have found that on many occasions, the charging speed of their devices has been reduced to 15 watts, which is much lower than the usual charging rate for these smartphones, which is 25 watts.

In this regard, a recent post from the specialized media SamMobile reveals that after conducting several tests on a Samsung Galaxy S23 phone, it was charged with a power of 20 watts, indicating that this charging slowdown issue does not affect all updated old Samsung smartphones.

Similarly, other users of the mentioned devices have also commented on Reddit that their devices have experienced overheating issues after updating to One UI 6.1, and in some cases, their phones have become excessively hot even when inactive.

Regardless, it is likely that Samsung will release a new update soon to fix all of these issues, but as always, we at “Techy Blog” will keep you informed of any developments in this regard.
