Announcing Amazon’s New Supervisor for the God of War Series

Recent reports have indicated that the God of War series produced by Amazon Prime and Sony has chosen to change its creative direction, with showrunner Rafe Judkins and executive producers Hawk Ostby and Mark Fergus leaving the project, and a completely new creative team being appointed.
We now know who will lead this new team, as reported by Deadline, with the God of War series finding a new showrunner, writer, and executive producer in Roger D. Moore.
For those who are unfamiliar, Moore has previously filled similar roles in successful shows such as Outlander for Starz and For All Mankind for Apple TV, and going further back, he led the reimagining of Battlestar Galactica, while also having a wide-ranging involvement earlier in his career in multiple Star Trek shows and films.
As mentioned in the previous report, the work on the God of War series will be rebooted, although Cory Barlog and Yumi Yang from Sony Santa Monica will continue to work as executive producers, along with Asad Qizilbash and Carter Swan from PlayStation Productions, Hermen Hulst from PlayStation, and Roy Lee from Vertigo.
As in the events of the 2018 released game, the series will focus on Kratos as he travels with his son to the highest peak in the Nine Realms to fulfill his late wife’s final request. It is unknown whether this plot will also change with the new scenario or remain the same, but either way, it seems that the realistic artistic work will take years before being extensively revealed.
