Amazon halts production of Kindle Oasis

Amazon has announced the discontinuation of the Kindle Oasis e-reader device that features physical buttons for flipping pages. Devon Corfass, a company representative, stated that “the current stock of Kindle Oasis will be sold out and will not be renewed.” He explained that all modern devices now rely on touch technology, which is preferred by customers.

The Kindle Oasis, released in 2016, was known for its lightweight and asymmetric design, making it easy to use with one hand. However, its high price may have deterred many people from adopting it.

If you are a fan of devices with buttons and are looking for an alternative, there are still options like the Kobo Libra Color device.

While the production of Oasis is being halted, Amazon continues to develop the Kindle line, announcing several updates, including the release of the first color e-reader, Kindle Colorsoft, as well as updates for the Kindle Scribe and Kindle Paperwhite.
