All Cold Biomes in Minecraft

It’s like a desert, but covered in snow. Snowy Tundras are typically large, open, and empty—you may find some trees here and there, but not many. You will find polar bears exclusive to this biome, as well as white rabbits. The Tundras are characterized by a unique mob, the Stray, a skeletal archer that uses ranged and melee attacks and inflicts slowness.
Ice Spikes
Ice Spikes are an extremely rare biome, visually resembling the weathered badlands but with tall ice towers instead of terracotta. This biome is content-poor, but if you find it, make sure to mark its location on the map or with coordinates.
Taiga
Taiga forests are filled with regular and giant spruce trees, along with ferns, thorny bushes, and mushrooms. Rabbits and wolves are common here, and this is the only biome where you can find foxes. Villages can also spawn in this biome. Depending on certain conditions, the Taiga biome can be covered in snow, flat, or hilly. Giant Taiga forests have larger spruce trees, and instead of regular soil, they have Podzol, a different type of soil.
Oceans
Oceans are the largest biome and make up a significant part of the Minecraft Overworld. All oceans generate at the same level. Ocean types include: deep ocean, frozen ocean, frozen deep ocean, cold ocean, lukewarm ocean, and warm ocean.
Oceans vary in depth. Warm oceans spawn coral reefs and abundant marine life, including dolphins, pufferfish, tropical fish, and more. Underwater ruins can spawn in deep oceans, allowing you to fight guardians (hostile fish-like enemies) and collect sponges, a valuable tool for clearing underwater bases. Shipwrecks can be found in many of these biomes, giving the world a sense of history.
Mountains and Slopes
One of the newest additions to the growing biomes in Minecraft is the lofty mountain peaks. These mountains include jagged, frozen, and rocky peaks, filled with ice and a thick layer of snow. Overall, this is where you’ll find goats.
Beneath the mountain, there are snowy slopes and forests. The biggest danger in this area is Powder Snow, complete snow blocks that a player can unintentionally fall into, resulting in freezing and eventually suffocation damage. Keep a hand on your tool bar and you’ll be fine.
Lastly, you can also find Windswept Hills and Windswept Forests. Windswept hills feature sharp terrains, and you might find waterfalls and floating islands, which were previously a glitch but are now part of the feature. You can find llamas, emerald ore, and Infested Stone in this area.
Mushroom Fields
This bizarre biome is as strange as it gets. Instead of regular soil, this area is covered in Mycelium, a soil that mushrooms thrive on exclusively. This gray substance emits a germ-like effect and is dominated by giant mushrooms. Mushroom Fields are also the exclusive home of Mooshrooms, a type of cows that grow mushrooms on their backs. They may look cute until you realize you can milk them in a bowl to get mushroom stew.
