The Gridlocked appearance is simply obtained by completing the path for the first time.
How to Unlock Shifting Grid Look
There is a 15-minute timer for this mode, but you need to complete the path in less than 10 minutes to unlock the Shifted Grid appearance. Once you get used to the path, you should be able to complete it in less than 10 minutes.
How to Unlock Synth-Bust Look
The Synth Bust appearance is obtained by reaching the castle on the map, which requires finding 12 hidden coins. Once you obtain the twelfth and final coin, you can head towards the steep slope and reach the finish line. Interact with the giant coin slots in front of the gate before entering, and you will be transported inside the castle. You will receive the Synth-Bust appearance upon entering.

After rounding the first turn, you will find this coin in a pit under one of the red columns that go up and down. There is only one pit under the columns, located near the left side.
