Alienware’s fantastic ultra-wide OLED display now available at a new low price

Alienware, a subsidiary of Dell, was one of the first companies to market OLED screens for gamers and remained popular as these models were frequently discounted – although they were not as deep as they are today.
If you sign up for the Dell Rewards program, you can get the 34-inch ultra-wide OLED gaming monitor from Alienware for as low as $612, which is nearly half the original price and definitely worth jumping on.
You can read our review of the Alienware AW3423DWF monitor here, where it received an impressive rating of 4.5 out of 5 stars and the PCWorld Editor’s Choice award. In summary, the monitor is a fantastic OLED upgrade for almost any gaming desktop, with its ultra-high resolution of 3440×1440, 165Hz refresh rate, and stunning colors perfect for PC gamers.
Originally priced at $1100, we have seen this monitor drop to $700 before. Even at its “normal” new price of $900, it is still a good deal. But a post on the SlickDeals forum highlighted unbeatable discounts: not only is the monitor on sale for $679.99 online at the Dell store, but you can also sign up for the Dell customer Rewards program to get an additional 10% discount, making the final price $612.
Once you reach the Dell Rewards page, click on Benefits in the middle, then “Join for free.” Scroll down a bit and you will see the 10% discount option for Alienware monitors. Click Claim Offer and you will receive a unique discount code valid for one week. Now go back to the list of AW3423DWF products, add it to your cart, and apply the code at checkout. You should see the final price.
With tax and free shipping to my home in Pennsylvania, the price came to $648.71. Not the cheapest ultra-wide OLED monitor we’ve ever seen, but very close! (Damn, I spent $600 on a used ultra-wide IPS monitor that I’m using now, purchased about four years ago. This is a much better deal!)
Dell discounts tend to come and go on a whim, but I bet this will be available for at least a few more days – if stock lasts. (You can use the same trick to get a 10% discount on any Alienware monitor, like this alternative ultra-wide monitor with G-Sync or the pricier 32-inch 4K version.)
