Airbnb Launches Co-Host Network to Help Hosts Manage Their Properties

Airbnb has launched a new network called “Co-Host” to help hosts manage their properties. The goal of the network is to simplify the hosting process, allowing hosts to enlist experienced co-hosts to manage their properties.

Hosts can select individuals from the network based on their ratings, with employed hosts needing a minimum rating of 4.8 and at least ten previous hosting experiences. The appointed hosts will assist in setting up rental listings, determining prices, managing guests, and property cleaning.

So far, over 10,000 hosts have registered in the network in countries like Australia, Brazil, France, Mexico, and the United States. While this move aims to facilitate matters for hosts, it may raise concerns about its impact on local communities, especially amidst the current housing crisis in many countries.

In addition to the Co-Host network, Airbnb has introduced new features such as the ability to view similar rental listings in the area, a welcome tour for new users, and updates in local search and payment options.
