Adobe Introduces Innovative Video AI to Premiere Pro
Adobe is now adding artificial intelligence-powered video generator, Firefly, to its video editing program Premiere Pro. The Firefly model can be used to extend video clips or create videos from still images or text instructions. This was first brought to our attention by The Verge.
The Geneative Extend tool will initially be available in the trial version and can extend the length of a video clip by up to two seconds with a resolution of 720 pixels or 1080 pixels and a frame rate of 24 frames per second. This tool will also be applied to surround sounds and sound effects, but not on music or dialogue.
Adobe’s Text to Video and Image to Video tools are available in Premiere’s web application as a trial version and can be used to create videos from text or still images. Adobe suggests that the tools can be used to create B-roll, which are secondary shots or clips. The maximum length of the clip created is five seconds with a resolution of 720 pixels and 24 frames per second.
All videos created or edited using Adobe Firefly can include content attribution data to account for the use of artificial intelligence and ownership if published online.
