A new way to charge your electric car without stopping or wasting time

The focus of the bet on mobility now is on the use of clean and renewable energies, as electric cars are the best option at this time.

As part of the efforts to make electric cars popular, Sweden is already working on creating the world’s first permanent electric highway, which will allow cars to recharge while on the move.

The idea is to build a fast road capable of charging electric cars while they are moving, so they should not stop at any time to recharge their batteries.

The road is called e-road, which is a construction that experts say will integrate dynamic charging at the sidewalk so that electric cars can travel longer distances using smaller batteries, all to avoid waiting at charging stations.

The project is led by the Swedish Transport Administration, Trafikverket, which has chosen the E20 highway to build the electric highway system on the 21 km stretch from Hallsberg to Örebro, located between the cities of Stockholm and Gothenburg.

At present, the type of technology to be used in charging has not been determined, but there are three options: conductive overhead charging, conductive ground-level charging, and ground-level inductive charging.

Not only Sweden is developing electronic highways that charge vehicles, but Italy, France, Germany, and the United Kingdom are also testing this technology.

Currently, the Swedish government’s plan is to deploy 2000 kilometers of e-road on public roads by 2030.
