Officially confirmed: Tom Holland’s Spider-Man 4 game coming in Summer 2026.

It was said on TV screen so may make it official. Sony just announced that the untitled Spider-Man movie starring Tom Holland and directed by Dustin Daniel Cretton is set to be released on July 24, 2026.
This news comes after a round of press for Holland discussing the new non-alcoholic beer, as he was constantly asked about Spider-Man 4. Finally, on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon he just said “It’s happening.” Now it has a release date and Cretton, who led the film Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings for Marvel Studios, is on board.
Following the massive success of 2021’s Spider-Man: No Way Home, everyone knew another sequel was coming. It had to. But this film didn’t put Peter Parker’s Holland character in a totally new situation (weird for anyone who knows him thanks to Doctor Strange) but also represents an end to Holland’s time. It gave him some leverage and the actor used it to make sure if he’s coming back to play Spider-Man, he’s doing it for the right reasons.
“When I signed my (first) Spider-Man deal,” Holland recently said: “I signed a six-picture deal.” “I was 18 years old. I was more excited than ever about anything, and over the past ten years I’ve been under the tutelage of Marvel and Sony and I’m proud of that. It’s been the best experience of my life. I’m now at a stage where I can say ‘no’ and now that I’ve been given this power, I find it difficult to know what the right thing to do is. This means I had to put my foot down in some cases, something I wasn’t allowed to do in the past, and I think the learning curve I’m on now is dealing with this new feeling of power… making sure I don’t abuse it, but also doing what’s best for me and not the studio. And really the best thing for the character. I don’t want to make another movie just to make it.”
He said he loves the comfort of the text – and starting this week The Tonight Show confirmed that filming will be in the summer of 2025.
Summer of 2026 is now shaping up to be a blockbuster season. Along with Spider-Man 4, there’s The Avengers: Day of Reckoning, The Mandalorian and Grogu, new films from Steven Spielberg and Christopher Nolan (the latter starring Holland), Toy Story 5, Partner 5, and The Super Girl. Wow.
What are you most excited for? And do you have the confidence that Spider-Man 4 will live up to expectations?
