It’s been about a year since the last details provided by Ubisoft hinted at the arrival of a new installment in the Watch Dogs series, where at the time they were trying to suggest that the next installment should be programmed years from now without any further details.

But today, there is important new information that has been spotted by a user who provided a video explaining these details, showing the registration of the trademark for the game Watch Dogs which confirms that the upcoming installment in the Watch Dogs series will be titled Watch Dogs 3.

This is a clear indication that the next installment of this series will only be targeted for next-gen consoles, as re-registering the trademark is a step by the company confirming the series’ arrival on new devices, and currently there are no devices programmed to release except for the upcoming PlayStation 5 and Xbox.
