Satellite manufactured by Boeing crashes, threatens global telecommunications.

Intelsat, the global satellite communications company, has announced the complete loss of one of its satellites after it exploded in geostationary orbit. Satellite monitoring operations have revealed the scattering of dozens of debris in various orbits, raising concerns about its impact on other satellites in the region.

This incident poses a new blow to the American company Boeing, responsible for manufacturing the ill-fated satellite, amid a series of technical failures in its recent projects. Intelsat has initiated emergency procedures to transfer its services to alternative satellites, while forming a specialized technical committee to investigate the causes of the explosion.

The damaged satellite was an advanced EpicNG model, designed for communication, internet, and satellite broadcasting services. It had previously experienced several technical issues since its launch, including a malfunction in the main engine that reduced its operational lifespan.

It is worth noting that this is not the first satellite of its kind to be damaged, as Intelsat lost a similar satellite in 2019 due to a similar accident.

This incident adds to a series of failures for Boeing, following the failed test of the manned Starliner spacecraft, issues with the 737 Max aircraft, and delays with the 777X aircraft.
