Robot creates painting up for sale for the first time at global auction.
Sotheby’s, the international auction house, is preparing to showcase a unique painting created by a humanoid robot, with the portrait titled “AI Deity” set to be displayed at the end of this October. This artwork is a portrait of the famous British mathematician Alan Turing, renowned for breaking the Nazi encryption machine “Enigma” during World War II.
The painting was created by the humanoid artist Ai-Da, a robot designed in the form of a woman, marking a remarkable evolution in the realm of digital art. Ai-Da relies on artificial intelligence algorithms in her work, using advanced cameras as her eyes and electronic arms that allow her to paint with exceptional precision.
The robot Ai-Da is named in honor of the first programmer in history, Ada Lovelace, and continuously works on developing her artistic works through AI technologies that enable her to produce innovative and unique pieces.
The painting will be up for sale on October 31st, with high expectations that it will capture the attention of art and technology enthusiasts alike, blending human creativity with technological advancement in the field of artificial intelligence.
