Samsung is considering launching a foldable phone in 2025.

Recent reports indicate that Samsung is planning to launch a tri-fold phone in 2025 as part of its efforts to expand its foldable phone range. This comes according to local Korean media reports that the company is preparing for this new step.

According to ZDNet Korea, Samsung is considering the possibility of launching this tri-fold phone alongside a cheaper version of the upcoming Galaxy Z Flip 7. This reflects the company’s attempt to keep up with developments in the foldable smartphone market.

These news come after Huawei released its Mate XT Ultimate Design tri-fold phone earlier this year, which stood out for its attractive design despite its high price. Mate XT Ultimate Design is the only phone on the market that offers a tri-fold design, prompting Samsung to follow the steps of Chinese competition in this field.

According to the report, Samsung’s display manufacturing partners have completed the development of parts for the new model, but the company has not yet made a final decision on the phone’s release, and there are no definitive confirmations on the implementation of these plans.

At the same time, Samsung faces challenges in the foldable phone market, especially with sales declining below expectations. The company recently announced a special edition of the Galaxy Z Fold 6, which features larger screens, a thinner design, and lighter weight compared to the previous version.

With these rumors spreading, concerns remain about the expected cost of this phone. With recent price increases in foldable phones, such as the price increase of the Galaxy Z Fold 6, it is likely that the anticipated phone will be higher priced than traditional smartphones, which may affect consumer purchasing decisions.
