Health Charms and Certain Foods Will Increase the Player’s Heart Count
It’s no secret that enemies hit harder in Expert Mode, and although players are protected from sudden death if they have full hearts, eliminations can happen quickly when facing even the weakest enemies. The defense boosts of many charms have been specifically removed for Expert Mode, making survival more challenging. All of these points emphasize the importance of increasing players’ overall health, especially at the beginning of the game.
The first and simplest way to increase health is by crafting health charms through the crafting table. These items grant extra hearts when equipped in the charm slot in the inventory, and the rarer they are, the more hearts the player receives. Some foods also grant additional hearts, and while they are not permanent, they can provide a useful temporary health boost. These foods include grilled meat, spicy burgers, and pizza, all of which can be cooked on the grill.
Get Additional Charms to Boost Stats
Extra Charms Can Be Useful in Expert Mode
While the Totem of Return and Health Charms are important items players can obtain, they are not the only effective ones in Expert Mode. In fact, players can acquire a variety of alternative Charms that can make progress in Expert Mode much easier. The additional Charms that are most important to focus on are the Cool-Headed Charms and Inner Fire Charm, which provide the player with resistance to heat or cold. Both Charms are essential for advancing to the Dry Valley and Frost Lands biomes, allowing players to earn Expert Mode Trophies more quickly.
There are also a number of other Charms that players can obtain, and while they are not necessarily essential, they can offer some useful benefits. These items include the Hearty Totem, which adds extra health when players are at full health, and the Regeneration Charm to regain hearts over time. The Totem of the Immortal is also great at saving players from elimination and provides more hearts than the Totem of Return. The only main obstacle to these Charms is how costly they are to craft, so players must choose them wisely.
Cultivate Rebel Cave
Rebel Cave Offers a Variety of Agricultural Resources
Resources like Marble and Knotroot are crucial for obtaining some tools in the early game of LEGO Fortnite, as well as upgrading the Grassland village. The obvious way to get these resources is to go to the Grassland caves, and while there is plenty of Marble and Knotroot inside, they are also home to hostile creatures like scorpions and skeletons. These areas pose a considerable risk of permanent elimination from the world. However, there is an alternative way to obtain these resources early on.
The Rebel Cave, while primarily serving as an entrance to the Star Wars island, actually contains plenty of available Knotroot and Marble. Not only that, but players can collect these precious resources in the Rebel Cave without having to deal with hostile enemies inside. Considering that the Rebel Cave is also close to the world spawn point, players will find they have easy access to these resources right from the start. Additionally, the Rebel Cave also offers alternative benefits, such as the ability to get planks and granite from destroying crates inside, fishing spots for fish, and Star Wars items that can be harvested for Plastoid.
Bring Villagers with You on the Adventure
Villagers Offer a Helping Hand Inside and Outside the Village
Villagers are among the most helpful entities players can encounter in LEGO Fortnite, as they can perform various tasks around the village. While many enthusiastic players may be content roaming the map alone in Expert Mode, there is a way for players to bring a villager with them to accompany them on their journey. Almost any villager can be invited to follow the player, providing them with an extra set of helping hands.
To invite a villager to follow, players can simply interact with any villager, choose the dialogue option “Let’s discuss jobs,” then select “Let’s explore.” The villager will then follow the player, engaging in activities like fighting hostile monsters while the player focuses on gathering resources. Players can even give these villagers better tools, allowing them to perform tasks more efficiently. Having villagers with you is a guaranteed way to gather resources faster, and players won’t have to worry about permanently losing their village if they are eliminated.
Play with Friends
Invited Friends Can Assist in Gathering Resources and Progressing
While villages are extremely helpful in automatically collecting resources and assisting players on their journey outside the village, there is another way to get additional assistance: inviting friends to the world. Playing with friends in LEGO Fortnite is not only more fun, but other players can also help in ways that villages cannot.
Having other players in the world allows for faster resource gathering and village upgrading if everyone contributes. This benefit also extends to activities outside the village, where exploring areas like caves in a strategic group can effectively combat enemies and collect valuable items. However, unlike villages, additional players are at risk of being permanently eliminated from the Expert world, so it is essential to ensure they have enough return statues in stock.
