10 Tips and Tricks for Experts to Build LEGO Fortnite – Part 1

The prominent feature that came with the v30.10 update is the Expert Mode, designed to test players’ skills. This mode increases the difficulty of regular survival, where players face stronger types of enemies and introduces the permanent elimination feature. While this mode raises the difficulty settings, there are some strategies that players can use to increase their chances of success.
Storing Return Totems
Escape permanent elimination using the Return Totem
One of the key features contributing to the difficulty of the Expert Mode is the permanent elimination feature, which prevents players from re-entering the world forever if they are eliminated. While this may be enough to deter some players from this mode entirely, there is one way for players to escape permanent elimination, by creating the Return Totem. This useful spell is crucial in the Expert Mode in LEGO Fortnite, as if players are eliminated and have the Return Totem in their spell slot, they simply return to their last spawn point while keeping their inventory contents.
While players will be granted an uncommon Return Totem when speaking to Triggerfish in the new Expert Mode world, this spell will break once used. Of course, one simple tip to ensure players do not lose their progress is simply to keep several reserve totems of this spell in their inventory. Uncommon Return Totems are quite easy to farm initially, requiring 50 Storm Core, 5 Silk Thread, 8 Wolf Claws, and 3 Shells to craft via the Crafting Bench. This means players will have to face Storm-Wild enemies at the beginning, leading us to the next tip.
Harvesting Storm Cores
Harvesting Storm Cores allows easy access to Return Totems
As mentioned earlier, Storm Cores are a vital resource in the LEGO Fortnite Expert Mode, as they are the main component for crafting Totems Of Return from any rarity. While this resource is profitable, there is a hurdle. Storm Cores are dropped from defeating Storm-Wild Enemies, special types of hostile entities that feature increasing strength, health, and speed. Naturally, players would want to ensure they can obtain a steady flow of Storm Cores to create Totems Of Return, but the difficulty of some types of Storm-Wild enemies may expose them to the risk of permanent elimination.
While players may initially hesitate to face the stronger enemies to acquire Storm Cores, there is a method to gather these precious resources, by simply prioritizing defeating the weaker types of Storm-Wild Enemies. The weakest enemy in Storm-Wild is the Storm-Wild Spiders, as they have the least amount of health among any enemy type. However, the best enemy to focus on is the Storm-Wild Skeletons, which are commonly encountered at night. Additionally, Storm-Wild Skeletons are relatively less challenging compared to other enemies like Storm-Wild Brutes or Wolves, making them an ideal candidate to quickly gather Storm Cores.
Utilize Long-Range Weapons

Craft Movement Items
Movement items like Grappler and Parachutes are very useful
Most enemies in the survival mode in LEGO Fortnite are easy to chase, but in the Expert Mode, things are different. Storm enemies in the Expert Mode are much faster than their regular counterparts, and dealing with them on the ground can be challenging, especially Storm Bosses. However, there are some items that players can craft to help them escape storm enemies and reach safety.
The obvious choice that may appeal to players is the “Grapple”, which is an invaluable tool for escaping fast skeletons, wolves, and other active storm enemies. Although this tool cannot be crafted until players obtain copper bars, it is essential for crossing vast distances quickly. The Grapple also integrates well with the glider, allowing players to increase their movement range and enhance their mobility.
