After the latest update released by Microsoft for its Windows 10 operating system, Microsoft Edge browser finally supports extensions despite their limited availability so far. It’s worth noting that the Computer World blog has already covered the event and published many articles on it, but today I want to clarify how to install these extensions on the Microsoft Edge browser with ease.

– How to install extensions in Microsoft Edge?

To install extensions in the Edge browser, open the browser, click on the menu button in the top right corner of the window (…), and choose “Extensions.”

– If you don’t see the “Extensions” option in this menu, it means that the annual update has not reached you yet.

Then click on the ‘Get extensions from the Store’ button to navigate to the extensions section on the Microsoft app store, where you will find a small set of available extensions to install, and Microsoft will undoubtedly provide more extensions in the future.

To download an extension, choose it and click the “Free” button on the extension page to start downloading it. The Windows Store will download the extension to your computer and automatically install it in the Edge browser, and when an update is available for the extension, it will be downloaded and installed automatically.

During installation, a window will appear in the browser for you to click the “Turn it on” button to activate the extension immediately after installation. Some extensions work in the background, while others work manually through a button displayed next to the address bar to control the extension.

Thus, you have successfully installed the desired extension, and as for editing it, it’s done in the same way as editing extensions in other browsers.
