New Hasbro Skeleton Crew characters are filled with adorable kids and the Law of Plastic Goodness.

Star Wars may still be suffering from the sudden loss of the latest live-action series The Mandalorian, but that’s the nature of television in that galaxy far, far away these days to the point where we’re already moving on to the next galaxy. The Skeleton Crew is coming this winter, and of course, in true Star Wars fashion, there’s a boatload of new games coming to accompany its release.
During the New York Comic-Con weekend, Hasbro officially unveiled its plans for a wave of action figures inspired by the upcoming Jon Watts series, which follows a group of young kids as they find themselves far away from their original planet and embark on adventures together. Featuring a mysterious force user named Judd Nahwood, played by Judd Law. All four core kids will be included, along with Nahwood (and one of them in particular looks villainous, which we’ll get to shortly) in the initial wave of releases.

The kids – KB, Neel, Wim, and Fern – come with a range of additional accessories suitable for kids embarking on a big adventure in the galaxy: removable backpacks, headlamps, binoculars, and no single detonator in sight (they’re kids, of course they don’t pack heat!).

They’re saving that in the wave for adult characters who pack enough explosives for everyone. Nahwood (who also sports a removable cloak) carries a blaster that looks more like a flintlock pistol than anything we’ve seen in Star Wars before, but Pirate Captain Proutos is truly armed to the teeth. The Shistavanen pirate comes with five explosives, which can be dual-wielded in his hands, stored in holsters at his waist, or even slung across his chest on a bandolier. Maybe he compensates for something, but we hope none of our young heroes ask him about it during the show.
Star Wars: The Skeleton Crew debuts on Disney+ on December 3, following The Mandalorian before that, Hasbro hopes to have action figures on shelves in time for the show’s premiere sometime in the fall of this year.
