Rumor: Possibility of a new installment in the Dino Crisis series evaporates after these details
Certainly, the audience that loves Capcom games has always been eager to get more installments of the Resident Evil series and also the Dino Crisis series, which has been absent for many years. Recently, there were rumors circulating that we might get a new installment in the series, a fresh start altogether.
However, it has been confirmed that these rumors are unfounded, as per several close sources to the company. In fact, recent revelations from Dusk Golem, a Twitter user closely associated with Capcom and its titles, have shed light on the matter.
Through detailed tweets, it was mentioned that anyone awaiting a new part of the Dino Crisis series should officially close that chapter, as the company has no plans for its release. The source indicated that Capcom was working on a new installment of the series years ago, but due to developmental issues, mainly related to the ideas they wanted to present, the project was ultimately scrapped.
It became apparent to the source that the project was not viable, leading to its cancellation, being classified as a failed attempt. Since then, for at least two years, there have been no attempts to revive the series.
This indicates that the series has entered a state of limbo unless stated otherwise, especially since Capcom is currently focusing solely on the Resident Evil series, despite promising the return of more old franchises in the coming years. Best regards.
Time to break some hearts:
-Code Veronica remake is not in production right now, not even pre-production.
-A Dino Crisis game actually was started a few years ago, but then scrapped and buried, and the franchise for now is still extinct for the time being.— AestheticGamer aka Dusk Golem (@AestheticGamer1) February 29, 2020
