Silent Hill 2 Remake Developer Reveals Completion of “Failed Games” Production
Bloober Team studio, which brought us the successful Silent Hill 2 Remake game, stated that they are done making failed games. They acknowledged the mixed reviews of their previous projects but mentioned that they will use their new success to continue with their next project.
In a special interview published on GameSpot, the team will work on extending the success they achieved with the Silent Hill 2 game to their upcoming project, Cronos: The New Dawn, recently announced by director Jack Ziba.
We want to find our rightful place, and we believe we have found our rightful place, so let us evolve with it. How that happens is more complex, but it also happens organically somehow, as was the case with [the 2016 game] Layers of Fear, where people in the studio said, “Okay, we’ve made some bad games before, but [we can] evolve.”
Bloober Team studio has worked on several previous horror game projects, most notably the Layers of Fear series and The Medium game, but they did not achieve the great success the studio was hoping for. However, they are now putting in every effort to continue the success of the Silent Hill 2 Remake game with their new game.
Cronos: The New Dawn is a third-person horror and survival game that puts you in the midst of a deadly struggle against overwhelming enemies, all while uncovering the twisted and mysterious story of time travel.
In a dark world where Eastern European monster meets retro-futuristic technology, you play as a traveler tasked with traversing the wastelands in the future searching for time rifts that will transport you to Poland in the 1980s.
Cronos: The New Dawn game is expected to be released on PS5, Xbox Series, and PC sometime in the next year, 2025.
