The presence of the colossal Titans has always been a dangerous mystery since the beginning of the series, and in the second season, this question was finally answered in a heartbreaking and shocking development. The identity of the colossal Titans was unexpectedly revealed, shocking everyone. It was one of the biggest betrayals in anime, thanks to the amazing direction, excellent voice acting, and first-class soundtrack.
The story of “Attack On Titan” initially seems like a simple one. The original manga by Hajime Isayama and the anime adaptation revolve around humanity living a century behind three walls to protect them from the monstrous man-eating giants. The main characters are part of the army dedicated to defending against or attacking these giants. Those who follow this anime from the beginning know that Eren Yeager is a strong, bold, and wonderful character. He is a human hero committed to killing and eradicating all Titans that cause sorrow and destruction to humanity, especially those who killed his mother and many of his friends.

Character Mikasa Ackerman
Mikasa Ackerman is undoubtedly one of the fiercest warriors in Attack On Titan anime. She is brave, loyal, and can fight at a level that could challenge Levi. Like many characters in the anime/manga, Mikasa Ackerman comes from a dark background. Her parents were killed in front of her, and she was almost killed until Eren saved her. For this reason, she dedicated her life to protecting Eren.
However, this kind of loyalty can often be toxic, and that is why some consider her one of the worst characters in the anime. Mikasa Ackerman is willing to die if it ensures his safety, even putting her at odds with the rest of the Scout Regiment. Her design and loyalty were put to the test when Eren turned his back on his friends to start a ruckus, but Mikasa Ackerman emerged from the ordeal stronger than ever.
Character Hange Zoe
This character is a beacon of hope in the Survey Corps, despite being somewhat frightening at times. The mad scientist character plays an active role in fighting the Titans and devotes herself to studying them, even risking her life to learn ways to defeat them. Additionally, she is one of the few people who believed that Eren had a place in the Survey Corps while everyone else preferred to see him dead.
Hange Zoe is a capable leader and a friend to the recruits, helping Eren learn how to control his Titan abilities. Despite her deceptive behavior, she has always been loyal to her comrades. Her final chapter, one of the most emotional scenes in the series, involved facing the approaching colossal Titans to buy time for her allies to escape.
Character Erwin Smith
In the early episodes of Attack On Titan, fans did not have much time to get to know the already established members of the Survey Corps because initially, the focus was more on Eren and his friends. The time spent getting to know Commander Erwin Smith was not long, but it left its mark. He was a great leader, and all members of the Corps were proud to follow him. Not afraid to do anything he asked of his men, even if it meant going to certain death. Erwin Smith’s courage and loyalty to those who followed him were his greatest strengths, but also his biggest flaws, ultimately leading to his death. Regardless, even knowing that the consequences would be the same, he would do it all over again gladly.
Character Armin Arlert
At the beginning of the series, Armin Arlert did not embody the idea of any soldier, let alone a leader. He was shy, complaining, and had confidence issues, yet nothing surpassed his brilliant intelligence. Even Commander Erwin Smith noticed his tactical brilliance and placed his trust in him, leading to key victories for their allies. When talking about growth and development throughout the series, one cannot ignore the pivotal and wonderful character of Armin Arlert. He is loyal, optimistic, and unafraid to sacrifice his life for his comrades. Thanks to such traits, he gained more than just the strength of the colossal Titan. He does not waste his energy as he contributes to the final efforts to end the war in the last season.
Character Sasha Braus
Most people in war become tougher forever and become different individuals in this process. Sasha Braus is a rare exception in the anime. Perhaps she was not the one leading the charge at all, but she was a beacon of hope for those around her. Sasha Braus maintains her humanity and optimism throughout the series. She has always been a source of joy and optimism among her very serious squad, breaking tense moments with her meat-based humor.
It was wise to make her a source of light in such a dark series because Attack On Titan tends to be a tense show. However, Sasha also had serious moments, showing that she was more than just a comedic relief. It was more shocking and sad when she met her sudden and tragic end at the beginning of the fourth season. But even in death, she went out as a martyr.
