How to remotely control your router from anywhere in the world

The internet has become an important part of our lives. Communication has become easier, and many services are now available online. The router is the main device used to broadcast internet service at home, work, or anywhere else. However, many internet users have routers but only a few know how to set up their settings and remotely control them from anywhere. Today, we will learn how to remotely control the router (for example, a Tedata router). Follow along.
First, go to the website Dynu.com and create an account to control the router remotely. Click on “create account” and fill in the details like you would for any other account. Then, click on submit.
Next, check your email for the activation link sent by the website to activate your account.
Open the email, click the activation link, and follow the instructions to create a username and password to log in.
After activating your account, you will see the Control Panel page where you can find various icons. Click on “DDNSServices” to add your DNS for router access.
Enter your username in the Host section, choose one of the options in the Top Level menu (I recommend selecting “Dynu.com”), and click “Add.”
You will see your router’s IP address on the site. Verify it by visiting Whatismyipaddress.com. You can adjust the IP update frequency and save the settings.
Return to the Control Panel, click on “DDNSServices,” copy the Domain Name (e.g., samehelkharraz.dynu.com), paste it in a new browser tab, and enter your router’s username and password to access the settings.
Choose Application, then DDNS (according to your router type), enable the service, enter your username and password, keep the other settings as they are, and click submit to confirm.
Now you know how to control your router remotely over the internet using this free and fantastic website. Hope you found this tutorial helpful. Stay tuned for more upcoming lessons. Thank you.
