Samsung, the Korean technology giant, shared a teaser video today announcing the date of the much-anticipated event, which will take place on October 21, to launch a new version of the Galaxy phones. It is expected that this upcoming version will be the “Galaxy Fold6 Special Edition”.
So far, Samsung has not confirmed the details related to the branding of this special edition of its foldable phones. It is still unclear whether it will be called Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition or Galaxy Z Fold6 Special Edition. However, leaks have confirmed the slim design of this version compared to the original Galaxy Z Fold6.
The Galaxy Z Fold6 Special Edition phone will come with a unique design, with a thickness of 4.9mm when the screen is open, and a thickness of 10.6mm when the screen is closed.
Leaks also suggest that the new phone will be equipped with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor, along with a main camera with a 200-megapixel resolution, promising a significant upgrade in performance and photography. The phone will also feature IP48 water and dust resistance, enhancing the device’s durability and making it suitable for daily use.
