The sound of footsteps is more realistic in Black Ops 6.
The upcoming game Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 will introduce many features that pave the way for the popular shooting series for the first time, whether it’s weapons, maps, game modes, or different mechanics.
Apart from the new movement system features and the numerous gameplay advantages, Activision has put a great emphasis on enhancing the game’s sound system. Updates to the sound system have been made, and you will notice them in the final version. Footstep sounds have become more realistic and have an echo that helps in determining their direction thanks to the collaboration with Microsoft Project Acoustic to test their levels. Watch the video below using headphones to experience it.
It was previously revealed that voice chat will be activated when a player uses a shield in Black Ops 6. As the name suggests, the Body Shield feature allows you to grab a player and use them as a shield in front of you to absorb bullets while you shoot at your enemies simultaneously. What has recently been revealed about this feature is even more interesting.
According to Treyarch studio, voice chat will be activated when a player uses a shield. As expected in such situations, you can anticipate receiving a barrage of insults from the victim who will be subject to gunfire before returning to the battle arena.
Considering the toxicity prevalent in multiplayer games in general, and Call of Duty in particular, aggressive reactions from players being used as shields can be expected, and they are likely to end up being banned due to the control enforced on voice chat, resulting in losses from all directions.
