Days Until
If you have a busy schedule or a somewhat weak memory, you may need to remember important events and dates in your personal, work, or study life from time to time. With the Days Until extension, you will get a countdown in days to a specific date. The concept of the extension is very simple. If you have a specific event on a certain date and want to remember it continuously, you can add that date and click Save, and the extension will show the remaining days until that date so you can remember important events continuously while browsing.
Cool Cursors
If you spend long hours browsing the internet, you may sometimes feel bored with the traditional look of the web browser and the mouse cursor as one of the user interface elements. Therefore, the Cool Cursors extension offers you more than a wonderful and free collection of cursor shapes that you can use within the browser only, meaning you will not change the default mouse cursor of the operating system. The extension is very simple; after installing the extension and clicking on its icon, you will find various sets of cursors, and by choosing any set and clicking on any cursor, the default mouse cursor will be instantly changed. You can also download many free cursors by clicking on More Cursors, and you can also share your own cursor with the extension by Upload Cursor, as well as control the cursor size, groups, and add other features through the Settings icon. If you wish to return to the original cursor, you can click the UNDO button at the top right of the extension page.
DataMask
Sometimes, while browsing a website, you may want to share specific content with a friend by recording the screen or taking a screenshot. However, after capturing that shot, you may find that your private data has been captured in the image, such as usernames, email addresses, profile pictures, credit card information, and bank account details. Therefore, you may need to edit the image with image editing software and waste more time and effort, or take a specific screenshot that may not contain all the information you want to share. But with the DataMask extension, you can hide and blur any part of the website before taking a screenshot. By clicking on the tool icon next to the address bar, two options (Auto – Manual) will appear in red at the bottom center of the browser.
When you click on the Manual option, you will manually select the part you want to hide by clicking on any part of the page, and the images will be blurred or the text will be converted to unreadable text to hide important information like email addresses, for example. It is not recommended to use the Auto icon, as it will blur the entire image and convert all texts into unreadable language. After taking the screenshot, you can press the Refresh icon in the browser or F5 on the keyboard to return to the normal version of the website.
Save for later
One of the most important features of modern browsers is the ability to open multiple tabs for browsing. Therefore, you may end up opening multiple sites in several tabs. But what if you want to shut down your computer or close the browser to use other programs and still want to keep all the tabs to browse later? Certainly, it will be very exhausting if you save each tab as a bookmark, and when you want to reopen those tabs, you will have to open each site individually, which will take a lot of time. Also, the default Recently Closed feature in the browser saves the last opened tabs for use, so if you come back after several days to open those pages, you may find that the browser has cleared them.
Quick A
Still focusing on multi-tab extensions, when you open multiple tabs, navigating between them becomes a very exhausting process, especially if you open multiple tabs from one site, as you will not be able to distinguish between the contents of each tab and will have to click on each tab and inspect its content yourself. But with the Quick A extension, you can view all the tabs and navigate between them in a visually distinctive and easy way. After installing the extension and opening multiple tabs, press CTRL + SHIFT + A, and the control panel of the extension will appear, containing icons for each tab opened at the moment, with the active tab currently selected. You can navigate between the different tabs either by pressing ALT + SHIFT + A from the keyboard and then pressing Enter to call up the selected tab, or by clicking with the mouse cursor. In both cases, you will find the full tab title above the icons, making it easy for you to identify your tabs, and you will also find an icon to open a new tab by clicking on the + symbol instead of using the traditional method in the browser.
These are some of the new extensions specific to the Chrome browser that we recommend trying out. It is worth mentioning that if you use any other browser built on the Chromium kernel like Opera, Brave, Chromium, SlimJet, you will surely be able to use these extensions, as they are compatible with these browsers.
