Finally, a comfortable and perfect keyboard for Mac enthusiasts

Nuio, a new player in the peripheral devices market, has launched its first product that is said to offer a design that combines comfort, style, and customization. Nuio Flow was developed by former Apple employee Tom Wilson and his brother Greg Wilson, and it is a comfortable keyboard that promotes proper wrist alignment, making it ideal for professionals, gamers, and anyone who spends long hours typing.
At first glance, Nuio Flow looks like a product straight out of Apple’s production line, ensuring a spot as one of the best keyboards you can buy. It features simple aesthetics and is suitable for users prone to fatigue or discomfort during long typing sessions.
By dividing the keyboard into two halves, users can also position each side according to the natural body posture, potentially reducing pressure on the wrists, arms, and shoulders. The adjustable layout allows for a more relaxed typing experience, particularly beneficial for individuals suffering from repetitive strain injuries (RSIs) or carpal tunnel syndrome.
However, what sets Nuio Flow apart is its magnetic modular system. This allows users to attach and remove additional components, such as trackpads, swivel stands, and wrist pads according to their needs. These peripherals connect via magnets, making reconfiguring the keyboard setup easy. This flexibility can be ideal for users who frequently switch between tasks like gaming, programming, or office work, as different layouts can enhance performance.
The keyboard comes with special rubber dome keys and concave keycaps with customizable backlighting, providing a similar feel and sound to a laptop keyboard. The keys have white backlighting, while the built-in battery can last up to 28 days, decreasing to 10 days if using the keyboard with backlight enabled for up to four hours a day.
The split USB-C cable allows charging both halves simultaneously, while Bluetooth technology is used for wireless connectivity to up to three devices including a PC, Mac, or any other mobile device.
While Nuio’s entry into the peripheral space with the Flow keyboard highlights the growing demand for comfortable, customizable solutions, it comes at a hefty price. The keyboard itself costs $399, a significant amount for a comfortable keyboard.
Currently, the keyboard can be pre-ordered through the company’s website in Astral Gray color with macOS Legends operating system, to be shipped in December. Those wanting Windows OS or dual OS and other color options (Silver, Gold, Rose Gold, Blue, Green, Brown) will have to wait until January.
As for additional accessories, there is the Flow Trackpad priced at $249, a small desk pad for $129, while a pair of stands and wrist pads cost $99 each.
