Samsung officially announces the Galaxy A16 5G phone with updates for 6 years.
Samsung announced yesterday a new phone in the low to mid-range category, the Galaxy A16 5G.
One of the key features of the Samsung Galaxy A16 5G is its support for Android system updates for 6 years, as well as security updates for the same period. The phone comes with an Exynos 1330 processor in some countries, while in others it will be available with a Dimensity 6300 processor.
The Galaxy A16 5G phone features a 6.7-inch OLED display with a resolution of 1080×2340 and a 90Hz refresh rate. It has 4 or 8GB of RAM, 128 or 256GB of internal storage, and support for microSD cards.
The phone has three cameras on the rear: a 50-megapixel main camera with an f/1.8 aperture, a 5-megapixel wide-angle camera with an f/2.2 aperture, and a 2-megapixel macro camera with an f/2.4 aperture. It also has a 13-megapixel front camera with an f/2.0 aperture.
The Galaxy A16 5G phone is equipped with a 5,000 mAh battery, supports 25W fast charging, and has a side-mounted fingerprint reader. It runs on Android 14 with One UI 6.1 interface and is currently available for pre-order in Europe starting at 249 euros, with sales expected to start in the coming days.
