Google founder creates world’s largest airship at a cost of $150 million.. Do you know what its mission is?

Google co-founder, Sergey Brin, is shifting his focus from technology to aviation, with plans to build the world’s largest airship to assist in disaster relief efforts worldwide.

This billionaire’s company, LTA Research and Exploration, aims to build a massive 656-foot-long airship powered by a hydrogen fuel cell, dubbed a “record-breaking behemoth.”

Initially envisioned by Sergey Brin as a luxury “air yacht,” he is now investing $150 million to construct a floating vessel for humanitarian efforts designed to be emission-free.

Reportedly, his company LTA has created a practical initial model called “Pathfinder 1,” which could take flight above Silicon Valley as early as this year, according to Tech Crunch.

According to the 2019 registration of Pathfinder 1 with the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), the airship will be powered by 12 electric motors and have the capacity to carry 14 people onboard.

News of Sergey Brin’s idea first surfaced in 2017, initially intended for him and his family to fly around the world. However, it seems that Brin has changed his mind and will use his resources and funds to aid in saving the world during natural disasters.
