Microsoft introduced the Windows Insider program with the launch of Windows 10 to serve as a communication platform between Windows software developers and the Windows update development team. The program allows anyone with a Microsoft account to subscribe for free to get the beta versions of Windows before their final release in the stable version, providing an opportunity to preview upcoming new features and provide feedback on them so that Microsoft can improve the Windows user experience.
