Aircraft Mode on Your Phone Gets Smarter in Android 14.
Less than a week ago, Google officially released the stable version of Android 14, a new version of its mobile phone operating system that first arrived on Google Pixel, and will gradually reach the most popular smartphones from Android-manufacturing companies in the rest of the world.
This new version of Android comes with some really interesting new features, and undoubtedly, one of the most prominent features is a new function that will make airplane mode on your phone smarter.
We told you a few months ago that Google had a plan to revolutionize airplane mode on your mobile phone in Android 14, and now that the new version of Android is now available, this new airplane mode is indeed a reality.
Until now, when you activate airplane mode, you could later activate Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connections, but it was not possible to configure them to automatically activate when turning on airplane mode.
Well, this has finally changed thanks to Android 14, because in the new version of Android, if you activate Wi-Fi and Bluetooth when airplane mode is active, the phone will remember this setting and the next time you turn on airplane mode, both Wi-Fi and Bluetooth will remain activated automatically.
As you can see in the screenshot of a Samsung mobile phone running Android 14 beta above, when you activate airplane mode for the second time, a notification will appear indicating to continue enabling Wi-Fi and Bluetooth because you have used it before with active airplane mode.
Similarly, this notification also tells you that if you do not want to activate Wi-Fi and Bluetooth when turning on airplane mode, you simply need to deactivate them when enabling the mentioned mode.
