10 Things Only Experienced Players Remember in Fortnite

Season Shop
In the early days of Fortnite, the first season introduced the concept of the Season Shop instead of the Battle Pass. In this shop, players could purchase items using V-Bucks based on their level. The Season Shop featured some of the rarest outfits in the game, such as the Aerial Assault Trooper and Renegade Raider, which are outfits that have not returned to Fortnite due to the exclusive nature of the first season of Chapter 1.
The Season Shop preceded the idea of the Battle Pass. Now, players can spend 950 V-Bucks to level up and unlock all kinds of cosmetic rewards. This was a great change as the Season Shop required players to spend real money to buy each item after reaching a certain level.
Double Pump Strategy
The Double Pump strategy is considered one of the most feared tactics in Fortnite. The meta constantly changes, and players always have their own setups that they bring to Battle Royale. However, the Double Pump was a strategy almost everyone used until its power was reduced in season five, making this strategy unfeasible due to the required cooldown period when switching shotguns.
The Double Pump strategy relied on the player using two Pump Shotguns in their loadout. Players overcame the slow fire rate by quickly switching between the shotguns, allowing them to execute a rapid series of kills.
Shopping Carts
The Fortnite community was tense about introducing vehicles into Battle Royale. For several months, players ran around the large map, relying on their feet without the need for fast vehicles to help them escape. The first version of vehicles was the unique Shopping Cart.
The Shopping Cart perfectly embodied the early days of Fortnite when the game was more cartoonish. The cart allowed two people to ride it, with one pushing the cart while the other sat in it as a passenger. Now, Shopping Carts are completely outdated and not used.
Rocket Launch Event
On June 30, 2018, Fortnite witnessed its first official event on the Battle Royale map. Live events were rare, and millions of players were present to experience this unique event in the world of Fortnite. In the Rocket Launch event, players witnessed a giant rocket launching from the Villain Lair POI heading towards the sky.
Many players thought this rocket would destroy Tilted Towers, but instead, it created several rifts in the sky, becoming the focal point in Fortnite’s overall story. The Rocket Launch event was disappointing for some as battles were active, meaning players who wanted to witness this historic event were killed by other players.
Infinity Blade
The Infinity Blade sword was very famous for its extreme power, to the point that the official Fortnite Twitter account apologized, admitting they “messed up” by adding this weapon. There was a valid reason for this, as Infinity Blade dominated Battle Royale in the first chapter, ensuring whoever had the sword would secure the top spot.
